Prestigio Multiphone 8500 DUO hands on

Prestigio entered the Windows Phone realm with a pair of new dual-SIM smartphones which the company introduced back in June. The 8500 and 8400 DUO aim to compete with Nokia smartphones in the mid- and lower-end of the WP lineup, and have the potential to do so if priced right.
The Multiphone 8500 DUO features a 5-inch 720p display covered in Gorilla Glass, alongside a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 chip, 1GB/8GB of RAM/storage, and a 2000mAh battery. The display is fairly sharp and features some good colors and angles.
Prestigio Prestigio
The rear panel is of matted plastic that is resistant to fingerprints, even standing up well to the large amount of people that handled it here on the IFA floors. Performance is adequately fast and theres almost no detectable lag while browsing the WP8.1 interface.

Prestigio Prestigio Prestigio Prestigio
The 8500 DUO could be a real contender to the just-announced Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM, as it features largely the same specs, and was recently priced in Russia at €170.

Prestigio Multiphone 8400 DUO hands-on

The Prestigio Multiphone 8400 DUO is decidedly the lesser member of the two. With its 4-inch WVGA screen, quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and 512MB/4GB of RAM/storage, the 8400 DUO targets the entry level WP market that is dominated by the likes of the Nokia Lumia 520.
Prestigio Prestigio
Right off the bat the 8400 DUO has the feeling of a low-budget device, with the low-resolution display and unimpressive colors being an immediate eyesore.
The back panel is made of plastic that is a veritable grease magnet, while the 11mm thickness does not help much with handling either.
Prestigio Prestigio Prestigio Prestigio

On the upside, the 8400 DUO has relatively lag-free performance, but we expect an ultra-low price point to make this device more than a side-note to the Lumia 520.

Google Extends App Purchase Refund Window To 120 Minutes

google-play-logoGoogle has quietly extended the refund window for paid application purchases within the Google Play Store to a more convenient two-hour window from the initial brief 15-minute window that was introduced in 2012 after months of consumer backlash over the inability to refund paid app purchases for any reason. The 15-minute window was first seen as a compromise to allow customers to briefly test paid apps, but the window was still considered too short to make an informed decision on whether to keep the app or request a refund.

Now with the extended window in place, Google is likely attempting to drive more paid app purchases by taking even more risk out of buying paid apps and increasing the rate of paid app purchases in general, as Android users are considered much less likely to purchase paid-only apps compared to users on other smartphone platforms. However, there are still exceptions to the refund policy despite the increase in the refund window, such as repeatedly buying and getting refunds for an app over and over and not getting a refund for an app after buying it a second time and getting a previous refund for the first purchase of the same app.

The keys to making the Vivo X5 Max a smartphone with 4 75 mm thick

The

Just three years, in January 2012, Huawei held the title of becoming the manufacturer with the world’s thinnest smartphone ago. By then the Huawei Ascend P1 S is crowned with a housing of only 6.7 millimeters. Shortly after Sony gave us a lesson in engineering and do it again with your Xperia Z Ultra. However, technology continues to advance and miniaturization of components and the discovery of new techniques and materials makes it possible milestones like that just won the Vivo X5 Max.

The

High Range concentrated in a few millimeters thick

FullHD screen of 5.5 inch Quad Core 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, 13 cameras and five megapixel, 2,000 mAh battery, space for two micro and Nanosim … cards How to compact all this and more in a little housing less than five millimeters? The key lies in several points, beginning with the screen and ending with the distribution and use of components completely redesigned for the occasion.

The

Screen

Perhaps it may surprise you, but the decision to include a panel or another on a smartphone not only affects the color reproduction and energy consumption. It also affects the volume occupied inside the equipment compartment. In the case of Vivo X5 Max, the manufacturer chooses a nature OLED display a SuperAMOLED screen Samsung. The removal of layers and backlight assembly favor a much thinner screen, something that is definitely vital to build a compact smartphone, although the LCD OGS also have increasingly fewer layers and thickness.

The

The motherboard

This is another point on which the fine thickness Vivo X5 Max is based. And the plate in which is inserted the circuitry and key components and chips is especially thin. According to the manufacturer we are talking about a motherboard of 1.77 mm, which also houses the entire burden of chips on one side. This solution allows reducing a little thickness smartphone.

The

Metal housing

The millimeter Vivo work is also reflected in the metal housing of smartphone. The photos leave no doubt that this is a piece of metal molded with precision. For this purpose the manufacturer used for injection molding the molten metal solidifies crystallize uniformly and correctly. However, such a thin piece of metal but is susceptible to bending. Therefore, the housing is reinforced in areas with thicker steel and magnesium alloy by laser welding to achieve a smooth surface. To design Jack 3.5 mm connector for headphones is patented for its design is optimal to occupy minimal internal space.

The

However, the company not only cares about the stiffness, but also uses a specific metal alloy to achieve austenitic steel, with a coating of nano particles “anti-fingerprint” provides an outer surface with a similar finish as pottery.

Only in this way a set sufficiently thin is achieved as to result in the Vivo X5 Max, with his 4.75 mm reaches the title of world’s thinnest smartphone.

So thin is the new model of the Vivo Chinese manufacturer? The first contacts with the terminal allow us to offer you the first photos of Vivo X5 Max. This makes it possible to have an estimate of how such a slim body fit in the palm of your hand. This is the result:

Sony Xperia Z3V Verizon Release Date

Sony Xperia Z3V Verizon Review: Sony Xperia Z3v going to US as Verizon unique Oct. 23 intended for $199: Big monitor, PS4 remote enjoy (hands-on)

Sony Xperia Z3V Verizon Release Date-Sony makes some pretty nice-looking mobile phones, but its challenging for people in the us to get their hands on them. The Xperia Z3 received top marks after we reviewed it with E-NEWS recently: razor-sharp looks, a good camera, the prospect of PS4 remote enjoy, and a water-resistant (1. 5 meters for 30 minutes) physique.

Sony Xperia Z3V Verizon Release Date

Sony Xperia Z3V Verizon Release Date

Price

Sonys latest variant, the Xperia Z3v, will likely be coming on April 23, and itll be a Verizon unique for $199. 99 with contract ($600 away contract). What variation does the "v" help to make? Actually, a ton: first off, the body design isnt exactly like the Z3 most of us saw earlier this fall. Instead, its more like the Z2. Furthermore, while the Z3v carries a 3, 200mAh battery (slightly larger than the 3, 100mAh in the Z3), plus contactless, inductive Qi asking (compatible with Qi add-ons and Sonys unique optional wireless asking dock and electric battery pack), the rated electric battery life has changed from "over two days" to "over each day. "

In case youre not really acquainted with the Xperia Z3 requirements, the Xperia Z3v still gets the same 5. 2-inch 1080p IPS show, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 model, and a 20. 7 megapixel camera which has a wide-angle 27mm the lens. The camera will even have a lower ISO versus Z3, unfortunately, yet will still shoot 4K video. The Z3v will happen with 32GB of onboard storage to its $200 on-contract price, with a MicroSD card which will take cards around 128GB.

Game

PlayStation 4 compatibility will be the Z3vs wild minute card: this is one of the first smartphones, combined with the Xperia Z3, to behave as a Playstation 4 remote-play unit: youll be in a position to connect wirelessly to your local PS4 gaming system and stream game titles, just like you can on a Playstation Vita. Of program, with this cell phone, youll also demand a controller: Sony sells the optional Game Command Mount phone support that docks along with a DualShock several controller for cellular gaming. I attempted it out with LittleBigPlanet 3, also it works really well: games play seamlessly between big-screen TV and on the phones display. It isnt an on-the-go gambling option, really, but it is useful as an in-home second-screen gaming gadget if you have a PS4.

The Xperia Z3v could be one of the best new Android phones in the fall, but remember that the Xperia Z3 should still be making its strategy to the U. S. on T-Mobile, with possibly even better battery living. Would you rather wait for the Z3 as opposed to the Z3v? I may possibly. Stay tuned for examination the Xperia Z3v once we get one later this month.

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom – Still a bit rude – Computer Total

A digital camera with ‘all the trimmings’. Which means in combination with a telephone? An iPhone can indeed also make great photographs. Samsung wants a scoop to do to meet the needs of amateur photographers without the Galaxy K Zoom there as phone suffers.

Earlier that went wrong. Was the first model, mainly because of the zoom lens, a phone very heavy and somewhat clumsy. Change of course there had to come up with a successor. The ugly hump of the ‘old’ model, which served as a handle is smoothed and the smartphone is no longer only around 440 grams 200 grams. It is impressive that more than half of the original weight is gone, while the zoom lens (albeit in reduced form) remained and the screen has become (from 4.3 inches to 4.8 inches). Even slightly larger It does not mean that the smartphone which still feels heavy.

old model ‘bump’

. <- DFP ad # ad_mpu_article -> <- end DFP ad # ad_mpu_article ->

does that immediately raises the question whether the combination smartphone and optical lens is pretty much good. With such a phone, you should always ask yourself if you find it worth it to drag. Every time such a weight That extra grammetjes hinder everyday phone usage namely a bit, especially if you make only occasional picture somewhere.

10x optical zoom on the K Zoom

The Galaxy K Zoom must make especially impressed with the specifications of the camera, and certainly succeeds. With a 10x optical zoom gives the unit to look. Many other smartphones To make a comparison of Samsung’s flagship camera offers a resolution of 20.7 megapixels, while the iPhone 5s for example, it has to do with 8 megapixels. A big but, because of the zoom lens, understandable difference.

Something slimmer than before, but still heavy.

Even if you have a separate digital camera next explains, the Galaxy K Zoom come. Very sharp pictures with high resolution to make. Sure the device In comparison, the price (just under 500 euros) is acceptable, given the same segment cameras sometimes a fairly high price tag is also provided.

Many shooting modes

To shoot a great picture the device offers a lot of positions. You can not think of – for any time or object, there is a stand designed. In the snow, at night, at dawn, a sunset, waterfall, at a dinner, at a party, the camera is ready for anything. Even for photographing food is a position available. So many options will be a hobby photographer deterred either little interest, the more seasoned photographer will find it a welcome addition. Also the ability to set (ie shutter speed, aperture and sensitivity to light) everything manually, the latter group can appreciate.

The screen of the K Zoom is well adjusted to photography. Have especially in bright sunlight (especially the elderly) smartphones sometimes difficult to provide a clear picture. For the iPhone 5, this is for example the case. Though the latest phones less frequently suffer from it (the iPhone 5 is after all already almost two years old), it is still nice to see what you actually shoot with the K Zoom.

Where an iPhone 5s-picture (left) is not possible to zoom in further than the balcony, brings a K-Zoom picture (right) two boxes effortlessly detailed image.

As for the display device further jumps really does not matter. The resolution of the screen provides no more than 720p. That would not be an immediate problem, as had been the image. Not a little grubby The screen lacks the sharpness of its biggest competitors and late in that respect little improvement compared to the Galaxy S3.

Conclusion

A little clumsy Samsung Galaxy K Zoom does. The zoom lens is the device has become quite heavy, so it does not have the elegance of many other smartphones. On the other hand, fortunately the phone from Samsung can really make beautiful pictures. Where other smartphones only can zoom, digital zoom, the K a 10x optical zoom and photos are by the 20.7 megapixel camera rather sharp. The many different modes allow you to make the best pictures anytime, but these features come at a time which overwhelmingly.

Samsung seems to appeal to a specific audience. This phone is not really practical for people who occasionally for pleasure shooting a picture and share it only via WhatsApp or Instagram. The user must have a strong affinity to take to make a good photo. Photography and time Who can find the user, will undoubtedly have fun with the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom.

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is available in several colors.

Everything You Need to Know About iOS 7

Apple devices are set to get a new version of iOS. At the company’s Worldwide Developer Conference, iOS 7 was announced to the world. It’s being called “the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone.” It’s packed with amazing new features and a brand new interface.

The new iOS has a new palette of colors, distinct functional layers to develop hierarchy and order within the operating system. It also includes a sense of translucency to provide better context of your information designed to show more depth and vitality. The iPhone responding to your movements provides a parallax of depth and in many ways was designed to create an interface that was unobtrusive and differential, according to Apple’s Jony Ive.

Users with iOS7 will find that the typography and the liveliness of the home screen is apparent. The operating system carries over throughout the system the liveliness of the information so that it follows your every movement. The design has been made so that it works best with all the apps that you’ve used, including photos, messages, and an improved Game Center. The design of app folders have also been redesigned as well.

iOS 7 has been a “comprehensive, end-to-end, redesign of your iPhone experience” and is considered to be a feature release:

Control Center

iOS7 now lets you swipe up from the device and get to the controls that you want right away, whether you want to play a song, turn on airplane mode, turn on a flashlight, or whatever else. Users can access it from anywhere, including the lock screen.

Multitasking

iOS7 has been built on industrial strength of OS X. Apple says that they’re all about supporting longer battery life when an app is running. With iOS7, multi-tasking will be available for all apps with greater battery life. Including intelligent scheduling, opportunistic updates, adapts to network conditions, and has push triggers.

Safari

Safari is said to be the most popular mobile browser and now comes with a new full screen. Users can tap at the top to get a smart search field with one-tap access to their favorites and search URLs. It also includes parental controls and iCloud keychain that also comes with Apple’s new OS Mavericks.

Airdrop

Apple’s way to share files with people around them. When accessed, the app will pull up a share sheet where you can send photos, videos, and files with your friends and can pass it along to multiple people. In a bit of a pot shot at Samsung, Apple says that iOS device users will not have to bump devices.

It uses the latest WiFi hardware and supports iPhone 5, iPad (4th Generation). iPad Mini, and iPod Touch (5th Generation).

Camera

iOS7 comes with new camera support that allows users to swipe between multiple camera apps, whether it’s Instagram, the native app, or any others. Apple also just added filters.

New Photo App

In order to help better organize photos into Moments, Apple has unveiled a new Photos app that is automatically generated as you shoot. With a retina display, it’s believed that users can make out patterns. The device can help you remember when specific photos have been taken. Photos can also be shared through Airdrop through Facebook, iCloud, Twitter, and email. Shared photo streams can also be made allowing people to collaborate when they’re on trips.

Videos can also be shared with friends.

Siri

Siri has also been updated with iOS7 with new voices, both male and female, and additional language support for French and Spanish. Apple says that it has gotten a lot smarter and can control device settings like Voicemail, brightness, Bluetooth, and more. Microsoft’s Bing search engine has also been integrated, as has Twitter and Wikipedia support.

The company says that it has sold more than 600 million iOS devices and people are using the devices more than anyone else. Cook says that just like as customers buy more apps, they are buying more iPhone and iPad devices, citing a IBM study of Black Friday mobile shopping last year. At their event, Cook said that iOS satisfaction is measured at 97 percent and that it has been rated number one in customer satisfaction according to J.D. Powers & Associate nine consecutive times.

At last year’s conference, Apple revealed that there were approximately 365 million iOS devices in the world and 80 percent of them had moved to iOS 6, which was also released then. The current version of iOS offers users updates to Siri, sports capabilities, better search features, and international language support for Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, and Korean.

Today, the latest version of iOS is now being used by more than 90 percent of all its users. Cook compared it against the Android marketplace where 1/3 of all Google device users are on an OS that was released in 2010.

Cuisinart 4 Slice Toaster 2015 Review

Cuisinart CPT-440 4 Slice Toaster Review: A luxury for the price stable performance

Cuisinart 4 Slice Toaster 2015 Review-Positive (Cuisinart CPT-440C is one of the steadiest toasters, after the test produces consistent results satisfactory in all settings. Looks classy, leverless design for the luxury price). Negative (besides the lack lever, CPT-440 does not offer a lot of unique functions on competitors cheaper). Important (at a price of $ 100, this toaster is the Royal, it is difficult to justify, but not impossible, given that it gets the job done quite well).

Cuisinart CPT-440 Toaster

Cuisinart CPT-440CH

If you ever, under any circumstances, to pay $ 100 for a toaster? Cuisinart think so - especially if it is CPT-440, one of toasters that offers the most expensive brand.

CPT-440 offers build handsome and classy stainless steel, "touch-to-toast" design for grilling experience that really did not feel high-end leverless, coupled with consistent performance in our tests, make CPT-440 toaster very good, but it does not make it a very good value, not with so many cheaper alternatives out there that offer similar features, decent design their own pillowcase and stronger than other toaster.

CPT-440 looks luxurious, and its presence as a toaster, it does a great job, but, its still just a toaster. You can at least be sure that the CPT-440 will produce satisfactory results.

Design and features

We thought Cuisinart toaster had handsome here. Brushed stainless steel building feels right with a combination of blue, backlit LCD display and design leverless give a classy, futuristic sheen.

CPT-440 Canada lets you choose the level of maturity on a scale of seven points, and also comes with the usual presets: bagels, frozen goods, and heat function. You still will be able to set the desired level of maturity for each preset as well.

With a locked setting, design leverless will press the "toast" to start grilling. While you toast food, a series of bars on the LCD screen will gradually disappear to provide visual cues for how much longer the cycle needs to be run.

When you press the button, the CPT-440 will be soft and low (whatever) that you bake in a toaster, a bit like Han Solo get lowered into the bath Carbonite her. At the end of the cycle, soft bread will rise again. It was a silly thing, but it certainly had us oohing and aahing bit several times we test it.

Practical benefit of this approach is that there is no spring mechanism to break, and also no getting surprised at the end of the cycle of bread. One drawback, though: without lever, there is no way to give your toast that extra lift to help you take out in the end. For the most part, we had no problem grabbing items without burning fingers, but still, its one of the little things that you might end up missing.

Performance and usability

The Cuisinart CPT-440 shines when in the process, you put the bread, you press the button, you get toast. You will have no trouble using presets or change the maturity, and emptying the crumb tray in the rear double easy, too.

We provide usability Cuisinart with very high scores, though, because it proved to be a predictable way. In all tests, we never saw a surprising result. Although the muscular strength at 1,560 watts (more than other toaster in this roundup), CPT-440 never cooked anything, nor undercook anything. It never fails to operate exactly as expected, produce consistent results in the retest.

This held true even when we asked for Cuisinart to do two things at once. In one test, we set the left slot for toasting frozen Eggo waffles good to do six of seven. At the same time, we set the appropriate slot for a pair of Pop-Tarts heat to lightly toasted two of seven. Waffles come out crisp and slightly browned, while Pop-Tarts out hot but only lightly toasted.

In general, we were also impressed with how Cuisinart roast evenly. This is true in every slot, with the majority of uniform browning on each side of each slice of bread, and also true in all four slots, with a few slices of grilled out to the same level. The only exception is preset bagels. It is designed for the inside of your bagel, and while its just what he did when we tried it out, we can not say that the grill evenly. Its a minor quibble, though, and not one that stopped us from the results of tests for breakfast food.

Another powerful results is that we can distinguish each of the seven settings maturity of one another. With a few toasters, what bake for five or above will be out done well, with only a slight difference in the amount of darkness. With Cuisinart, we felt that having seven different maturity settings, all of which yield predictable results and satisfactory. It was a better result than we see with the cheaper models such as Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome Toaster, which tend to be too long and also better results than the ultra-high-end Kitchen Aid Pro Line Toaster, which leaves things a bit undertoasted.

The above graph shows how each grills we tested performed in three settings: setting the lowest maturity, the maturity of the middle setting, and setting the highest maturity. For our taste, the spread Cuisinart looks the best for us, even with the results in all three settings and nice, golden brown bread in the middle. Black dark settings may be more than you would ever want, but the extra oomph bake to seven might be useful if you ever bake bread straight from the fridge.

One final factor to consider is the time toast. Averaging our tests, CPT-440 exit on the fast side of things, beaten only by Alessi Electric Toaster, which costs more than doubled. Slowest grills we tested was Frigidaire Professional - a direct competitor of CPT-440 with similar price point.

Bread faster is not necessarily better bread, but we were still impressed with the combination of CPT-440 the speed and consistency. It seems never toast too fast for his own good, never take too long to give a simple piece of good toast. If there is a sweet spot for the performance of a toaster, I think the CPT-440 hits it, or at least approaching.

Verdict

Cuisinart CPT-440 is priced at $ 100 is a very good toaster, in all our tests, it handles everything we throw at it, and never produce the results that we would classify as disappointing. However, up the Amazon, and youll find dozens of toasters that cost half as much, or less. It includes models with eye-catching, unique design, very favorable user reviews, room for four pieces, and the general ability of the same as you would find with CPT-440, which was never sold on Amazon for less than $ 70. We will not blame you for choosing one of the cheaper alternative.

Nikon D4S

Although the Nikon D4S is an evolutionary rather than revolutionary continuation of the earlier D4 model, its still as good as full-frame cameras come. Theres little to separate this from theCanon EOS 1D X although, in our view, this is the camera with the best autofocus system released to date.
Shoot at the "normal" ISO settings - the extended settings become absurd, with ISO 409,600 a bit out there - and results are excellent, but its the D4Ss ability to assist in getting the shots that matter that makes it such an exceptional bit of kit.
For the average consumer this is the Ferrari of cameras: out of reach in both price and realistic use. For the pros out there it will be a potentially priceless tool, albeit one that only a handful will see as an immediate upgrade necessity.
PRICE: £5,200 (body only)

How To Downgrade iOS 6 1 3 To Earlier iOS Versions

So you accidentally updated your device to iOS 6.1.3 without thinking but you want to be able to jailbreak?
Well, you can downgrade your device to earlier versions of iOS like 6.1.2, 6.1.1, 6.1, 6.0 and even 5.1.1.
The good thing about earlier versions of the iOS is that they can be jailbroken untethered compared to iOS 6.1.3 that can not be jailbroken untethered.

Please follow the steps below carefully. Dont skip any step. Also, make sure that you have all the requirements below.

For this guide, I am downgrading to iOS 5.1.1 on an iPhone 4 GSM. Consequently, depending on the version you want to restore to (X), iOS 5.1.1 = X for you.

REQUIREMENTS
  1. Redsn0w 0.9.15b3
  2. 6.0 stock IPSW download here
  3. 5.1.1 stock IPSW download here
  4. 5.1.1 SHSH blobs saved with iFaith 1.5.6 latest version
  5. iTunes 11
  6. iReb r7 download here
Procedures
STEP 1. Download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 here. Extract and place on Desktop

STEP 2. Launch Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 in Administrator mode

STEP 3. Click on Extras and then click on SHSH blobs as shown in the image below

STEP 4. Click on Stich and then on IPSW

STEP 5. Select your IPSW. iOS 5.1.1 in my case. You will notice that its a custom IPSW with NO_BB attached to its name. This is to enable me prevent baseband upgrade.

STEP 6. Click on Open. Click Local and select the blob corresponding to your iOS version

STEP 7.  Redsn0w will build you a stitched IPSW as shown in the image below and would be stored in a folder. The new IPSW will begin with numbers

STEP 8. Go back on Redsn0w and click Extras then Pwned DFU. Follow the instructions to put your device in DFU mode.

STEP 9. Once in DFU mode, close Redsn0w and Launch iTunes

STEP10. iTunes will detect your device in Restore mode. Hold shift on your keyboard and click on Restore.

STEP 11. Select the IPSW that Redsn0w stitched for you

STEP 12. iTunes will begin restoring to that IPSW. if you encounter any Error, use iReb r7 to fix it. To do this, run iReb and click on your device as shown in the image below

STEP 13. iTunes will successfully restore to iOS 5.1.1. Now close iTunes and check your device. It will be running iOS 5.1.1

STEP 14. For those restoring to iOS 6.1.2 or 6.1, you will have to boot tethered with Redsn0w. So launch Redsn0w and click on Extras.

STEP 15. Click on Select IPSW and point it to iOS 6.0 IPSW

STEP 16. Click on Just boot and then put device in DFU mode. You can also use iReb to put device in DFU mode.

STEP 17. If you get stucked on the Pineapple or Evasion logo, Close Redsn0w and launch again. Click Extras and Select IPSW again and point it to iOS 6.0 and then Just boot tethered again

I hope this helps someone.
Note, this can also be achieved with the help of Snowbreeze 2.9.13 also if you are not comfortable with Redsn0w. The procedure is the same and the steps are also the same.
Feel free to drop comments on your success story and issues that you might have encountered and i will try to help resolve it
